Your smile reminds me of warm summer days
in the park, grass tickling our exposed limbs
as I lie in your embrace.
The sight of your face, refreshing to me,
ice cream on sun-kissed lips, it seems.
The cigarette in your mouth, your only vice,
an aura of je ne sais quoi
Irresistible, the cause of my frantic heartbeat.
A tingling sensation in my fingertips awakens;
the yearning to run them through your hair
increases tenfold.
My soul, yours more with every uttered word
breathed in my ear.
The mellifluous tenor of your voice
a song to my heart, my sustenance.
A single gaze holds me captive
rendering me breathless; your eyes,
limpid pools opening unto your soul.
Your kisses are my beginning and end,
the gates to Valhalla, my road to paradise.
Should everything to cease to exist the following day
my last wish were to be kissed by you
the most exquisite of greetings and farewells, of which
one can never tire, it seems.
